2004

At Rocking Horse Stable, we offer several Day Camps for riders who want an intensive, enjoyable and rewarding riding experience.

Day camps allow for very focused riding instruction over several days or a week. They also allow for un-mounted instruction in horse care, stable management, feed and nutrition and other topics. In addition, camp participants make new friends – both human and equine – and have lots of fun.

March Break Camp

This three day camp provides 2 mounted lessons per day and a lectures each day on stable management and horse care. Other recreational activities and fun events are interwoven through the day to make the overall experience fun and educational.

Summer Recreational Day Camps

Recreational camps are perfect for first time or less experienced riders. Close supervision and well-schooled horses and ponies promotes a safe and confidence-building experience for young riders. Each rider has two mounted sessions per day and lectures in horse care. A maximum of eight participants per class ensures riders the best quality instruction.

Fun events, crafts, and other outdoor fun makes for a fun experience. At the end of the day, all campers participate in the routine chores – feeding horses, turning them out and cleaning up – giving them a feel for what it takes to own and care for horses. Contact Us.

Camp Information

All camps begin on Monday morning at 9:00 am with a brief welcoming and a discussion of safety and rules of the stable. Each day runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Early drop-off and late pick–up can be arranged.

Participants are to bring their own lunch; drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the day.

Proper riding pants, hard soled shoes and a proper riding helmet are required.

Novice riders in the regular camps not owning their own helmet can borrow one from RHS. Stretch pants are an acceptable alternative to proper riding pants

To register for camps call us at 613-488-3066 or Contact Us.
